About the figures

Every industry figure quoted on this site is attributed to its published source at the point it appears. The cost per mile and cost excluding fuel come from the American Transportation Research Institute. The share of miles run empty comes from the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association Foundation. The share of carriers running ten trucks or fewer comes from American Trucking Associations analysis of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration registration data.

Figures that are worked examples rather than published research are labeled illustrative where they appear. The deadhead calculator produces arithmetic on the numbers you enter. It is a planning aid, not a forecast.

Industry averages describe an industry. They do not describe your truck.

We do not guarantee any revenue, rate, cost saving, utilization level or profitability outcome. Results depend on freight markets, your operating costs, your equipment, your drivers, the brokers you are approved with, and on the carrier meeting its own obligations as set out in our Terms and Conditions.

Targets described on this site are the targets our operating model works toward. They are not promises.

The Ask an operator page produces answers using an AI system. Answers are general in nature, are generated at the moment you ask, and are not reviewed by a person before you see them. They can be incomplete or wrong.

Use them as a starting point. Where a matter involves a filing, a claim, a contract, an insurance position or money at risk, confirm it with a qualified professional before acting. Nothing you type into that page creates a client relationship with us.

What we are, and what we are not

Aditya Enterprises provides back office, dispatch and operations support to motor carriers. We are not a freight broker, we are not a motor carrier, and we are not a freight forwarder. We do not take possession of freight and we do not hold operating authority on your behalf.

The carrier remains the carrier. Operating authority, insurance, safety compliance and legal responsibility for the movement of freight stay with the carrier at all times.

Third party names and links

Broker and company names appear on this site as plain text to describe the kind of counterparties a carrier deals with. Their appearance is not a claim of partnership, endorsement, approval or any existing relationship, in either direction.
